Plea!!!

I have been a professional wrestling fan since the late 90's. I cannot believe that I am watching the craziest wrestling stories play out in the presidential election. There is a time and place for the soap opera of the sports world, and it's not when it involves the role of people who directly affect our lives.

Government is not meant to entertain us. It's meant to help make our lives easier and better and make sure we are not being taken advantage of.

His rallies have turned into nutty ironman matches of speeches that have absolutely nothing to do with things that will help the average American. They have admitted that their plans will destroy our economy.  They have admitted their plans will crash the stock market.

They Admitted It!

Now I have mentioned that history fascinates me. Well, that their plan for tariffs has been tried before, during the depression. Guess what? Those massive tariffs turned the depression into the GREAT DEPRESSION! This is important. We have thankfully avoided a recession but these plans will plunge us into a depression. The difference this time is that the Supreme Court has ruled it is okay to criminalize homelessness. Poverty is now a crime. Those who are wealthy will be fine.

The prospects of a man who had a brain worm in his head and has absolutely no medical knowledge in charge of all departments of health is nuts. Our average life span has increased so much because of medical advancements and regulations on drugs, food and the environment. It is a proven fact, given how long people are living today. That is one way to get rid of Social Security, I guess.

I have paid attention to presidential elections for most of my life. I can tell you I never thought I would ever see a candidate run not on how to use the military to defend the nation from threats from outside, but on how they will be used on American citizens. WTH!

So this election let's follow President George Washington's wisdom and not make someone a King. Let's get back to no one is above the law and the laws apply to everyone equally. I know they haven't been in the past. The great part about the country we live in is the capability and strength to do better and strive for a more perfect union.

One last thing we are stronger together but divided we fall. Don't let outside forces cripple this great nation.

4 Years ago...

 4 years ago I was having to have my groceries delivered, and finding out half the stuff I ordered wasn't in stock. Some were replaced with brands I had never heard of.

4 years ago pop companies had to limit the flavors they could produce because of aluminum shortages.

4 years ago I was dealing with gallstone attacks. I told myself that it was just bad heartburn, but I knew. I was grateful for Joe Biden being president a year later because I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. I didn't have to go through it alone because Joe Biden knew what the fudge he was doing, got the pandemic under control, and got people vaccinated. Because of vaccinations, my mom could be there for me and my father was able to sit with me for a while.

4 years ago I was unable to be there for my brother, and hug him when he had to put his precious dog to sleep.

4 years ago I had to hope and pray for my sister and my niece and then my aunt and uncle, when they each tested positive for COVID19. You know, the virus that would just "go away."

4 years ago I watched the news to see more and more people losing their jobs because of closures and government-incentivized unemployment.

4 years ago an angry, selfish mad man who couldn't stand losing sent a mob to take over the country.

4 years ago nurses, doctors and hospital staff were wearing garbage bags (not to own the libs in some stupid stunt) because they didn't have the supplies they needed. They were working extra shifts, increasing their own risks of catching the deadly virus, because their co workers were sick or dying from COVID. Don't forget hospitals having to store bodies in refrigerator trucks.

So am I better off now than 4 years ago? The answer is a resounding H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks YES!!!

The men and women who serve in our United States military are not Suckers or Losers!
